It is shaping up to be a busy weekend, I need to try get the majority of our entire tiny two bedroom unit packed up by the end of Sunday. As it is, all Friday night and all day today have been consumed with packing and a bit of cleaning thrown in for good measure. This week will no doubt be as busy, work wise, as the last week so beyond a little packing in the evening if I’m lucky, there’s not going to be much time to spare.

I’m still trying to work out the logistics of it all and how I’m going to manage it. I have to pick up the keys on Friday, somehow. Saturday, I somehow have to get all my stuff from my place to the new place, as well as two cats + Mr4. I’ve worked out I am going to hire a moving truck and two guys to move the majority (if not almost all) of the stuff. It’s just… all the little bits and pieces at the end. .. and how do I get from here to the new house to let them in and show them where to put stuff.. should I get a taxi? Or rely on friends. I have had a couple of offers, one from my brother but not till the evening – which doesn’t really help so much. And the other from some friends..whom I am thinking I’m going to need to take up.

It’s just a lot to do for one person, pack up an entire house, whilst still trying to get work done, and still look after Mr4. I suspect there will be a lot of home delivery meals this week…

Add to that the cost of moving ($3000 bond, $1000 rent overlap, $1000 advance rent, $500 moving truck, $250 reconnection fees) and pretty much all my hard worn savings will be gone. But it will be worth it right?
